Large trees make an big impact. If you need large trees the only thing to do is go big tree shopping. One of our projects called for some large trees and the clients wanted California Live Oaks. Quercus agrifolia is a beautiful tree that matures into a majestic specimen. To find the best trees available we made a field trip to some of our favorite large tree nurseries. The day was spent reviewing and inspecting the nursery stock to select the most perfect trees. Each tree has a different character with various branching patterns, heights, widths, trunk sizes and leaf qualities. We tagged our favorites. Each tree was photographed so we could review their character onsite prior to their delivery and determine the best location for each tree. After we completed this review, we returned to the nursery for one final inspection of the trees. Once this check was complete, the final step was getting the big trees to their new home and planted into the ground.
