Fill it In

Updated: Feb 17, 2019

Once the garden lay out is confirmed, the next step is to fill it in. The layout guides garden construction. Grading the soil for the pathways and center fountain is the next step to the filling in the new garden design. A low wall and steps will help to create a level area for the center fountain and pathway.

A LOW STONE WALL AND STEP CREATE AN AREA FOR THE NEW FOUNTAIN

Gravel pathways down the center and to the sides define the lavender parterre. French lavender traces the lines of each bed in the parterres and bring shape to the new design.

A STONE FOUNTAIN SPLASHES IN THE CENTER OF THE GARDEN

Citrus filled terra cotta pots anchor each bed, a rustic metal bench provides a romantic destination and rose-covered, trellised archways grow over the gravel pathway.

CITRUS POTS, IRON BENCH AND ROSE ARCHWAYS DETAIL THE NEW GARDEN

The original garden layout, once filled in and detailed, creates a wonderful French country lavender parterre.
